The Cascade Mountain League Championship Drill Meet held their competition last weekend, and the WVHS JROTC Championship results are in:

C/Private Seth Kangus took 1st place in Individual Sporter Marksmanship Division

Sporter rifle team took 5th place

C/Lieutenant Colonel Maddie O’Shea took 6th place for Unarmed Drill Team Commander

Unarmed Drill Team (Ramettes) took 6th place

C/Major Erik Deccio took 3rd place for Armed Drill Team Commander

C/Lieutenant Colonel Maddie O’Shea and C/Major Katie Cunningham took 2nd place for Dual Unarmed Exhibition Drill Team

C/Captain Dakota Klang took 4th place for Armed Individuals

C/1st Lieutenant Brayden Edris and C/1LT Dylan Quenzer took 1st place for Dual Armed Exhibition Drill Team

Physical Fitness Team #2 took 2nd place

A dozen High School JROTC programs compete from WA and OR and our cadets look forward to the Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge “spring camp” at Camp Rilea, OR 18-22 May as the cumulating event for the school year. It has been three years since our WVHS cadets have attended this event.
