2021-2022 School Year Details

All students in the West Valley School District will have the opportunity to return to full-time in-person learning for the 2021/22 school year. There will be no hybrid option provided.
According to current Washington State regulations, all students, staff, and visitors – regardless of vaccination status – will be required to wear a mask indoors at school. No masks will be required outdoors.
The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
The first week of school will be Family Engagement Week. Students in Grades 1-12 will attend school in the morning and Family Engagement meetings will be scheduled in the afternoon.
For Kindergarten, Family Engagement meetings will be held on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. Kindergarten students will have a staggered start on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3. Families will receive information from their school regarding their child’s schedule.
On Tuesday, Sept. 7, all students will attend school for the full school day. Note:
Families who would like their student to take online classes in the 2021/22 school year will need to register for classes via the West Valley Virtual Academy. To register for online classes, contact WVVA Director, Ashley Lieberknecht, (509) 823-2602.
Todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de West Valley tendrán la oportunidad de regresar al aprendizaje presencial de tiempo completo en el otoño de 2021. No se proporcionará una opción híbrida.
De acuerdo a las regulaciones del Estado de Washington, todos los estudiantes, personal y visitantes – sin importar su estado de vacunación – deberán usar cubrebocas en las escuelas cuando haya estudiantes presentes. No se solicitará cubrebocas mientras estén al aire libre.
El primer día de escuela será el martes 31 de agosto, 2021.
La primera semana de escuela serán las juntas Family Engagement Week – Semana de Participación de la Familia. Los estudiantes de los grados 1-12 asistirán a la escuela por la mañana y las juntas iniciarán después por la tarde.
Para los niños de Kindergarten, Las Juntas de Participación de la Familia se llevan a cabo del 31 de agosto al 1 de septiembre. Los estudiantes de kindergarten tendrán un inicio escalonado el día 2 y 3 de septiembre. Las familias recibirán información de sus escuelas en lo relacionado al horario de su niño.
