Home Football Start Time Moved to 4 pm for Fri, Sept. 11, 2026

During the past month, the school district has had issues with the electrical system that powers the lighting for Clasen Field.  Our district electrician has been working with a contractor throughout the month to identify the issue.

Each time they have had the lighting fixed, it works for a while, and then the lights go off.  Then, they trouble-shoot, fix the issue, it appears to work, and then the lights go off.

We were at the point, this morning, that we needed to make a decision regarding the first home football game that is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, 2026.

In order to ensure that we have lights for the entire game, the administration of both West Valley and Kamiakin (the visiting team) agreed that it would be most prudent to move the start time to 4:00 pm for the game.  The lights are currently working but they have been so unstable over the past week that it was prudent to move the start time.
