Ahtanum Valley Elementary Celebrates Student Success

At a recent Awards Assembly, student achievement was celebrated by students, staff, and families at Ahtanum Valley Elementary. The school recognized students for their academic achievement. In addition, West Valley Superintendent, Dr. Peter Finch, and the ESD105 Superintendent, Shane Backlund, presented a banner from Washington State to recognize Ahtanum Valley as a "State Recognized School" for student achievement. ESD105 is the educational service district that serves Kittitas County, Yakima County, Klickitat County, and a portion of Adams County. Only 16% of schools in Washington State received this recognition. In West Valley, three schools were recognized this year: Ahtanum Valley, Cottonwood, and Wide Hollow Elementary. Congratulations to the students and staff at Ahtanum Valley!
