A Message From Your IT Director: Building a Safer Digital Community, Together

Hello, and welcome to our new Cybersecurity Corner!
I'm Jeremy Cox, your IT Director, and I'm thrilled to launch this blog as a resource for our entire district community—students, parents, and staff. My goal is to make cybersecurity and technology more accessible and understandable for everyone.
I've been a part of this district's family since 2014, and I began my career in IT in 2007. Over the years, I've seen firsthand how technology has transformed our schools, our classrooms, and our lives. My journey in this field led me to earn an MBA in IT Management, which gave me a strong foundation in managing the complex technology needs of an organization. I also hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, a globally recognized standard for cybersecurity expertise.
My team and I are dedicated to ensuring a secure and reliable digital environment for our students' education. This isn't just about blocking malicious websites or managing our network; it's about protecting every student's data, empowering our teachers with safe and effective tools, and giving our parents the knowledge they need to navigate the digital world with confidence.
Through this blog, I'll be sharing a new post every week with practical tips, insights into our district's security measures, and updates on the latest online threats. Think of this as an open conversation—a place where you can learn how to protect yourself and your family from online risks.
Cybersecurity is a team effort and by working together, we can build a safer and smarter digital community for our children.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Cox
