Students from West Valley High School and the Freshman Campus of West Valley High School now have access to the Crime Stoppers “Text a Tip” hotline.
To text a tip regarding illegal activities at school, text your message (WV+message) to CRIMES (274637). Be sure your message begins with “WV”.
The “Text a Tip” hotline is intended to decrease illegal activities at school. If a tip results in a conviction for a misdemeanor, the tipster will receive a $50 reward.
If a tip results in a conviction for a felony, the tipster may receive an additional reward, up to $1,000.
Tipsters will remain anonymous. After you text your message, you will receive a secure ID number. Rewards will be designated to the ID number.
Anyone--a student, parent, or community member--who knows of illegal activity at school may “Text a Tip” to CRIMES (274637).
Please note: the “Text a Tip” hotline is intended for the reporting of illegal activities at school, such as possession of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and weapons.
Other activities that are a violation of school rules, such as bullying, should be reported by phone using the West Valley Safe Schools Hotline (972-6027). The Safe Schools hotline is monitored 24 hours a day.
Any illegal activity, at school or outside of school, may be reported by phone to the Crime Stoppers phone number (248-9980). The Crime Stoppers phone number is monitored 24 hours a day.
The Crime Stoppers “Text a Tip” hotline (CRIMES) is monitored from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
