Coach Wyckoff played for WV High School and the Yakima Valley Pepsi-Pak, then played at Shoreline Community College in Seattle. As an 18 year-old college freshman, he was young enough to come home to play for the Pepsi-Pak after playing college ball for one year. Recurring right shoulder problems (and 3 surgeries later) forced him to play most of the season throwing with his left arm. Realizing his playing days were over, he was hired to be an assistant coach at Shoreline CC. The assistant coach at the time was fired for “unruly” behavior with players, leaving the opportunity for Coach Wyckoff to begin his coaching career.
1995 – going to the AA State Final 4 with a very talented WV team that included current pitching coach Josh Pearce, 3rd place
2002 - Coach of the Year for the 3A Mid Valley Baseball League
2003 - taking the Rams to the 3A State Championship game for the first time since 1979, 2nd place finish
2003 - Class 3A State Coach of the Year for Washington State Baseball Coaches Association
2005 - Coach of the Year for the 3A Mid Valley Baseball League
2006 - Coach of the Year for the 3A Mid Valley Baseball League
KEVIN VANDEBRAKE - ASSISTANT COACH - 7th year
(17th year at West Valley High School)

Coach VanDeBrake played at Selah High School, earning all state honors in 1986. He was drafted in the 20th round by the Philadelphia Phillies, but opted to attend college instead of signing. He then played for 2 years at Taft Community College in Northern California. Coach VanDeBrake then went on to a very successful career at Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles. He signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1990 and played 2 years of professional baseball in the Dodgers organization. In 1988, he played in the Cape Cod League with the Hyanis Mets, and finished his last college Summer (1989) playing in the Midwests Jayhawk League. In 1991, he spent three weeks playing at Dodger Stadium during the Orginzations Winter Workout period. During the 1991 season, Coach VanDeBrake was offered a player-coach position with the Dodgers, but turned it down to complete his education and to raise his family in Yakima.
1990 - LMU team captain and voted to the 1st team All West Coast Conference at second base
1990 – LMU West Coast Conference Champions, entered the NCAA tournament as the #5 ranked team in the country
PAUL STEPHENS - ASSISTANT COACH - 10th year

DEGREE: BA in Political Science/History, Masters in Education Administration

Coach Stephens played at West Valley High School, graduating in 1991. He was named to the all-league team as an outfielder during his senior year. He then went on to play at Northwest Nazarene College in Idaho where he helped to lead his team to the playoffs (1993) for the first time in the history of the school.

JOSH PEARCE - ASSISTANT COACH - 2nd Year

COLLEGE: Centralia CC, Portland State, University of Arizona

Coach Pearce played at West Valley High School, graduating in 1996. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 40th round, but opted to attend college instead of signing. He played for Centralia CC in 1996, and then was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 40th round, but opted to play at Portland State University. He then signed a full ride with the University of Arizona in 1999. Following his season at the University of Arizona, he signed a professional contract with the St. Louis Cardinals after being drafted in the 2nd round. He spent 8 years with the organization, including parts of three seasons with the big league club. He was a part of the 2004 National Championship team that attended the World Series against the Boston Red Sox. Following two shoulder surgeries he signed with the Colorado Rockies in 2006. He was then released and decided to retire from MLB.

2002- April 20th Major League Debut against the Milwaukee Brewers
2002- Hit a RBI single off Brad Penney and drove in Tino Martinez
JACOB MUNDEN - ASSISTANT COACH - 2nd Year

Coach Munden was a four year lettermen for Columbia Burbank High School from 1997-2001. He played catcher, 3rd base, and left field for the Coyotes throughout his career. Coach Munden attended Walla Walla Community College with the opportunity to catch for the Warriors, but family circumstances brought him back to the Tri-Cities.

TRENT CLASEN - Assistant Coach - 1st year

PLAYING CAREER:
Coach Clasen played for West Valley High School and the Yakima Valley Pepsi-Pak for three years, being named All-State in 1986 as a catcher and outfielder. Coach Clasen then played for the Yakima Valley Community College from 1987 to 1989, red shirting in 1988 due to injury. While in college Clasen played first and third base, completing his playing career in 1989 after being named first team all NWACC. Coach Clasen is now a trooper with the Washington State Patrol.
HIGHLIGHTS:
1984/1989- Playing for two outstanding coaches; George Benedetti and Bob Garretson.
2008- Being asked to assist with West Valley baseball.
