Writing Fundamentals (.5 credit)

This class is designed strictly around the State Writing Standards. Students will review some of the rules of writing, evaluate writing samples, revise writing samples and write SIX of their own essays using released WASL Writing Prompts from past tests.

If you haven't, please read and print the instructions for completing this class.

The course is a "required elective" for sophomores. Juniors or Seniors may take the class as an elective or as one of their required Language Arts courses as recommended by the teacher.

Essential Academic Learning Requirement 1:

The student writes clearly and effectively.

To meet this standard, the student will:

1.1 develop concept and design
