REFLECTION on Reading
Even if you "hate" reading, you have to read a lot just to survive in our society. This assignment asks you to think about your own reading and make some goals for being a better reader.
- Make a list of everything you've read in the last week. Don't forget things like Driver's Ed Manuals, textbooks, computer screens, magazines, etc.
- Write a paragraph that explains what you like to read. Try to discuss WHY you like reading those things.
- All of the assignments in this class were designed to help you get deeper into what you were reading. Write a paragraph about one of the readings that didn’t mean much to you the first time you read it, but got more interesting as you started to do the assignments connected to it. Explain why your opinion on the reading changed.
- When you have to read something and understand/remember the content, what do YOU need to do to make it a quality reading experience? Discuss what you would do before, during and after you read to make sure you understood the reading.
