The New WASL -- The “HSPE” (High School Proficiency Exam)

1. On these dates the HSPE will be from 7:50 am to 10:20 am.  School will start at 10:30 am.
   

2. March 16 - Reading            -- No Tools Allowed
   

3. March 17 - Writing Day 1    -- Bring print dictionary/thesaurus, we provide scratch paper
   

4. March 18 - Writing Day 2    -- Bring print dictionary/thesaurus, we provide scratch paper
   

5. April 13 - Math                    -- Bring calculator
   

6. April 15 - Science               -- Bring calculator

You Are Invited To Senior Presentations 2010

1. The West Valley School District would like to invite you as a community leader to listen to 10-15 minute Senior Presentations from the class of 2010.
   

2. The Senior Presentations will be March 16,17, & 18 and April 13 & 15, 2010.
   

3. Community members observing Senior Presentations need to be at the new WVHS, 9800 Zier Road, by 7:45 am.  Senior Presentations are from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

FREE Math Tutoring

1. WHO:          Any WVHS student wanting free peer-tutoring on Math through Algebra 2
   

2. WHEN:        Tuesday through Friday, 3 pm to 4 pm
   

3. WHERE:     Counseling Office Conference Room
   

No Cell Phones/Electronic Devices

1. WVHS students understand that cell phones, iPods, and other electronic devices are not allowed between 7:45 am and 2:25 pm anywhere on the WVHS campus.
   

2. If the electronic device is seen or heard by a staff member that staff member will take the electronic device to the main office.
   

3. First offense:  Parent/Guardian Contact -- Parent/Guardian retrieval of electronic device.
   

4. Second offense:  Parent/Guardian Contact -- Parent/Guardian retrieval of electronic device and student suspended from WVHS for one day.
   

5. Subsequent offenses will result in increased suspensions up to Long Term Suspension.
