High School Admission Requirements and Grade Placement for Graduating Classes 2008 through 2011


Effective for the 2008 through 2010 Graduating Classes:
Specific course titles relate to students desiring a WVHS diploma. Remedial or below grade level courses may count toward credits to earn a certificate of attendance, but not a diploma. SPED students are in regular courses approved by the impacted departments, but stretched out over 2 or more trimesters to earn the .5 credit. Below grade level classes = elective credit.
10th grade status = minimum 6.5 credits in the following areas:
Transfer students may substitute Algebra 1 for Math 101/102
     (Math Modeling Bk 1)

.5 WA History
.5 Health and Fitness
1.0 Science
2.0 Elective

11th grade status = minimum 12.5 credits in the following areas:

     Transfer students may substitute Geometry for Math 201/202 1.0 Math            201/202
      (Math Modeling Bk 2)
     Chemistry, Physics, Physics for Tech., Electronics for Tech., Biology,
     Anatomy, Horticulture

Required during 12th grade year to graduate (24 credits total with passing grades in all required classes):

Elective designations include occupational education, fine arts, science, and other classes required for graduation.
RAM PREP daily beginning 2003- 04 term to address specific instruction for RAM PROJECT, High School and Beyond Plan, SSR, and Consumer Education.
