West Valley Fire Fighter Captains

Captain Nathan Craig joined WVFD (West Valley Fire Department)in 1994 as a High School Cadet while attending West Valley High School. He graduated from WVHS in 1996. Then became a Firefighter/EMT the same year and worked summer jobs for the fire department as a maintenance technician and wildland firefighter in '96 and '97. He graduated from YVCC in Fire Science in '98 and in 2002 he was promoted to Lieutenant. In 2003 he was promoted to captain of the Training Division. He is also the chair of the Yakima County Training Officers Association and the Secretary of the Washington State Region 7 Training Council Certifications are EMT, Instructor, Firefighter, WA EVAP instructor, Washington State Fire Training Acadamy Trainer, Hazerdous materials on-scene incident commander, Incident Safety Officer, and Vehicle Rescue Technician.
