About Captain Nathan Craig
Captain Nathan Craig joined WVFD in 1994 as a high school cadet while attending West Valley High School. He graduated from WVHS in 1996. Than became a FireFighter/EMT the same year and worked summer jobs for the fire department as a maintenance technician and a wildland firefighter in 1996 and 1997. He graduated from YVCC in Fire Science in 1998 and in 2002 he was promoted to lieutenant. In 2003 he was promoted to captain of the Training Division. He is also the chair of the Yakima County Training Officers Association and the Secretary of the Washington State Region 7 Training Council Certifications are EMT, Instructor, Firefighter, WA EVAP instructor, Washington State Fire Training Acadamy Trainer, Hazerdous materials on-scene incident commander, Incident Safety Officer, and Vehicle Rescue Technician.
