- Congratulations to the West Valley boys tennis team for taking 2nd place in this weekend's Coke Classic. Freshman Aaron Farmer took 3rd place at #1 singles, Cooper Anderson took 2nd place at #2 singles, and Mitchell Anderson to 1st place at #3 singles. In doubles Craig Heflick and Brandon George took 6th place at #1 doubles, Josh Bricel and Kyle Sauve took 3rd place at #2 doubles, and Casey Kim and Ben Kim took 5th place at #3 doubles. Our 1st league match is this Saturday against Walla Walla down in Sunnyside.
- Juniors: Monday March 22nd is College Planning Day at YVCC, information is posted is Ram Prep, signup in the Counseling Office by Friday the 19th.
- TOLO tickets are on sale this week. Be sure to grab the proper paperwork and have it filled out before you go to the office to purchase your tickets. Gold Card $10, ASB $12, Guest $15 and I.D. $17. Get them before school, during lunch and after school.
- The blood drive approaches. It is Wednesday, March 24. T-shirts and the all-you-can-eat doughnut party are on the line. Be sure to turn in your Intent to Donate form and if you are under 18 your signed parent permission form. Also, make sure that you have signed up for a time. You cannot be SIA'd out of school to give blood if you have not signed up for a time. See Mr. Bergevin in Room 2208 if you have any questions or concerns.
- Are you interested in being an Intern with Allied Arts? They have great opportunities for a Summer Intern and are also looking for a volunteer as Gallery Intern during the school year. Stop by the counseling office for more information.
- Are you ready to start looking for a job? You won't want to miss this one … 100 Jobs for 100 Kids…Youth Career Fair... put on by the Chamber of Commerce. You can learn about Resume Writing, Soft Skills, Meet Local Businesses and will have the opportunity to apply for summer employment. This great opportunity will be held at the Southeast Yakima Conmmunity Center on Thursday, March 25th from 1:00 to 5:00 . Stop by the counseling office for more information and to pick up registration materials.
