Course Overview
Students will learn basic legal concepts as they relate to business, discuss the law as it affects us on a day-to-day basis, develop a vocabulary of legal terms, and develop an awareness of their role as citizens in our business, legal and political systems.
 
Student Learning Objectives
As a result of required instruction the student will be able to:
1. Understand the law in relation to themselves, the school and society.
2. Develop reasoning skills in solving legal problems.
3. Learn the language of the law by improving their legal vocabulary.
4. Improve their ability to summarize legal issues and report them to the class.
5. Analyze and evaluate courtroom information and then demonstrate a mock trial
 
Special Requirements of Students
Students should be interested in participating actively in class discussions and in contributing current events that relate to the law in our day-to-day lives.
