Opportunity to demonstrate understanding of trigonometry

If your test score was not what you hoped it would be, and you feel that you really do know the material better than your score shows, then this is your opportunity to do something about it. The problems below were used as timed tests in a contest, but you will not be timed on them. You will absolutely have to show me all of the work that you do, which will probably require making a number of different marks on the page(s) that you print out. Your work must be your own, and if any steps are skipped, you won't receive credit for the problems. These problems measure angles in a different way - much more accurately than we have typically done - and explanation of measuring angles in degrees - minutes - seconds is on the link below.

Which problem set do you do? Take the number of letters in your last name and divide by 3. If it divides evenly, then you do problem 0. If you get a remainder of 1 when you divide, then you do problem 1, if you get a remainder of 2, you do problem 2.

You will have 1 week to complete your problem set - so it is due on Tuesday, January 26th, at the very beginning of the period - absolutely no exceptions. If you wait to the last minute, you will probably not get it done.
