Innovations

The turn of the century (1800 to 1900) was a time full of innovations, inventions and life-changing discoveries. Many of the things that we can’t imagine living without were invented in this time period.

Your assignment is to go "rediscover" one of these innovations. Use the Internet, the History Channel, A+ lessons, a textbook, etc. to gather information including:

BE SURE YOU MAKE A WORKS CITED PAGE AS YOU RESEARCH!!!

How to earn a grade for all that research:

You have two choices.

  1. You might choose to build a model of the original product. It will obviously depend on the thing you choose, its size, how much information you can find, etc.; but some of them would be fun to see this way. You would still need to turn in your research in the form of an "Info Summary Sheet" and the Works Cited.
  2. It might make more sense for you to put together a PowerPoint or a poster showing different pictures, uses, the people involved, etc. This should also include an "Info Summary Sheet" and Works Cited page.
