How a BILL becomes a LAW

Be sure you have notes from A+, have read the appropriate sections in the text or researched on the Internet before you sit down to complete this project.

There are many ways this project can be completed — it is a chance to be artistic and creative!

Assignment:

Created an annotated, pictorial map that explains how a bill becomes a law (at the federal level). Make sure you take into consideration all of the different scenarios that can happen during the process.

Ideas:

A

This project has a "polished" feel to it. The student accurately describes the process in a clear and creative manner. There are no errors or missing information. It is obvious that the student edited the work and took the extra time needed to get it better than "good enough."

B

This project takes a creative approach and tries to tell the entire story. There may be some minor accuracy, neatness or grammatical problems. With a little more time this could be developed into an excellent project.

C

The project includes words and pictures to explain the basic steps. This project may leave out a few of the various options or skip a step or two. The overall quality may also have problems like neatness or spelling errors. It looks like the student just wanted to get done.
