Reading Fundamentals
(.5 credit)
This class is designed strictly around the State Reading Standards. Students will read selections from past WASL tests and use the released questions to evaluate their understanding of the passage. Other assignments are designed to help students focus on essential reading skills that they can put to use in the future - be that on the WASL, in HS or college coursework or on the job.
The course is a "required elective" for sophomores. Juniors or Seniors may take the class as an elective or as one of their required Language Arts courses as recommended by the teacher.
