Pre Camp: August 9th and 10th: This is the camp that is strictly for the Percussionists and the Color Guard only. This is so they are able to get a head start on the routines and
the music so they will be able to keep up with the band because its easier to rehearse and memorize instrumental music than choreographed dance and marching rhythms.
Band Camp: August 13th-17th: This is the main camp itself. This is the entire band together for 9 hours rehearsing and simply putting the show together for the first time. It allows the band to get a jump start on the season and gives them the opportunity to meet new students, such as the freshman, and also builds up group skills. Band Camp has been something that the students enjoy every year that it has been happening.
Tuesday Night Rehearsals: These are the nights that the band rehearses throughout the season that are during the week. This also allows the band to get a jump in learning what they have to learn than just relying on the morning rehearsals alone. These rehearsals were from 6:30 to 8:30 sometimes 9:00.

On the last day of the camp we had a performance, and it happened to be the best run through that we had that entire week! The Parents were extremely proud of us, and we were extremely proud of ourselves.
On every night of the camp there was an activity night that was put on by the B-L-T. On Monday Night it was game night, on Tuesday Night there was a Scavenger Hunt, on Thursday there was a Neon Dance that took place on the football field, and on Wednesday Night, there was the "3rd Annual West Valley High School Ram Marching Band Lip Sync Night Contest".
This Contest is the most enjoyable night of the week, and every year there are winners, and this years winner was Chris Presler. Congratulations Chris.
