Music Appreciation

This class was designed to help you learn about classical music, the instruments, the composers, etc. As you view SlideShows you will answer Qs in your Journal. The class also challenges you to learn about the classical music opportunties in your community. You will also have to document listening to certain classical music pieces. This class is interesting and you'll enjoy knowing the basics of this subject matter!

There is one set of journal Qs for each Slide Show. Get organized and have fun learning!

A note about Plagiarism: to complete some of these assignments you will have to do research on the Internet. WHEN YOU USE SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK you must do a WORKS CITED PAGE! Please don't steal people's work and turn it in as your own. Cheating means you loose credit and possibly the chance to earn this credit!

GRADING:
Simply put, your grade will be based on the knowledge you "show off" in your journal entries. Read below so you can earn the grade you want. If you don't do at least C level work you will get it back to redo.

A

  1. Neat and easy to follow titles and numbering
  2. Complete answers that show learning and respect for subject
  3. Use of appropriate vocabulary
  4. Obvious time and commitment from the quality of final product
  5. Clear that student proofread and made edits before submitting


B

  1. Titles or numbering could be more consistent or easier to find
  2. All questions are answered accurately
  3. Student could use more of the course vocabulary when answering Qs
  4. Work should have been more carefully proofread before submission - many silly errors bring down quality of work
