Valid Washington State teaching certificate
Recent 2 nd grade teaching experience preferred
Positive, professional attitude and sense of humor
Demonstrated commitment to success for ALL students
Proven ability to motivate and effectively instruct students of varying abilities
Proven ability to plan and implement dynamic, interactive, hands-on student activities that promote inquiry-based, constructivist learning
Proven ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport with students, parents and colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated success in handling student discipline problems
Recent LASER science training/knowledge
Knowledge of grade level expectations
Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with peers and supervisors
Committed to ongoing professional growth and development
