NAME OF POSITION: West Valley High School Cheer Advisor/Coach

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Teaching and directing various cheer skills and activities in practice situations, teaching leadership through the Washington State ’s AWSP Cheer Curriculum, attending and chaperoning performances and competitions. Supervise/oversee the Cheer Assistant (Wrestling Cheer).

THIS POSITION IS DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: West Valley High School Principal, Athletic Director (evaluation) and Activities Director (fundraising, assemblies, student activities).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated competencies in organizing and managing student organizations.
Demonstrated effectiveness in written and oral communication with students and parents.
Acceptable methods of teaching, group management, and inter-personal skills

STIPEND

$3077-4262** per season (2 seasons) DOE. Post-season stipend possible (1% per practice/performance extraday), depending on football/basketball team results.

All new employees must complete fingerprinting and drug screening process before employment. The cost to the employee is approximately $100.00
