NEW APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED EACH YEAR (It cannot be submitted on last year’s form). All charges made after last year’s application expires and before the new application is processed, will remain on the student’s account until paid.

You are responsible for all charges until your application is processed.

~Fill out the application completely (one application per household) including :  

 

~If your student receives Basic Food or TANF you must include the case number on the application (no SSN# is needed). Applications will not be processed without case numbers.

~If your student is a foster child, please submit an application with only his/her name in the foster child section. You must submit one application per foster child. If you have multiple foster children, you need one application per child. No other children may be on their application.

Have your student drop it off in your school kitchen with the Child Nutrition staff or bring it o the Child Nutrition Office and we will process it promptly. We have 10 business days to process the application. You are responsible to purchase meals or bring meals from home until your application has been processed.

A letter will be mailed home to notify you of the application results. If you do not receive a letter within a week of submitting the application, please contact the Child Nutrition Office.

If you were approved for Temporary Free meals, you have 6 weeks to contact the Child Nutrition Office and/or submit a new application with income information.

Once you have been approved, in order to receive the free/reduced rate, your student must choose a complete meal. That means taking one of the entrees offered at their school as well as one other item offered for lunch that day at the self serve bar or a milk. Anything else will be considered a la carte and your student will be charged accordingly.
