West Valley Qualifies for State High School Knowledge Bowl Tournaments

West Valley’s Knowledge Bowl team will compete in next month’s 35th annual Washington State Knowledge Bowl tournaments after advancing from this week’s regional qualifier competitions. The 2017 Washington State Knowledge Bowl tournaments are on Saturday, March 18, at Arlington High School, featuring 18 teams in each classification.

Knowledge Bowl competitions involve high school teams of up to six members in a contest of the students’ knowledge in a broad range of academic areas. Each tournament begins with a written round in which team members work together to solve multiple-choice problems, followed by oral rounds against one or two other schools.

West Valley’s team is advancing to State after taking 2nd place at the ESD 105 Regional meet. West Valley’s teams have now qualified for the State Knowledge Bowl competition for all 14 years that the school has been involved in the program!

Congratulations, students! We’re so proud!
