West Valley's New Superintendent!

Dr. Michael Brophy
Present position: Assistant Superintendent, Bethel School District (06 to present)
Education: B.A., M.S., Ed.D.

Earlier experience: Assistant Superintendent, Eastmont School District (01-06); High School Principal Eastmont High School (94-01); High School Principal, Aberdeen School District (90-94); Assistant High School Principal, Centralia School District (89-90); Assistant Principal, Camas High School (87-89); Social Studies and Physical Education Teacher (77-87).

Dr. Brophy has served in a number of administrative capacities including experience in eastern Washington and western Washington. His present position covers a wide range of responsibilities and he is a part of the Superintendent’s cabinet participating in the planning and execution of numerous programs in the school district. He has worked in a variety of roles including human resources, supervision of schools and directing efforts at strengthening academic achievement.
